The story
The challenge
The street had no green space, just a fenced-off patch of rubble that everyone walked past. Lots of neighbours had lived there for years without ever really meeting. [Two or three sentences from the report.]
What we did
We ran three design sessions over tea and biscuits, so the neighbours could decide what the garden should be. Then we built it together over six weekends. Where Friends Grow socials brought volunteers along, and ticket money paid for tools and plants.
[A short quote from someone who took part, in their own words.]
What changed
The garden is now looked after by a group of neighbours who meet every other Saturday, and it hosts a Where Friends Grow social each season. [The main results from the report.]
